First Line with breakfast in Obergurgl
There is no feeling quite like being the first person to carve fresh tracks on the untouched pistes in the morning. Those are the moments skiers dream of! With First Line, skiers in Obergurgl have the chance to enjoy this exclusive experience followed by a hearty breakfast in the Hohe Mut Alm hut. The perfect start to a memorable day on the slopes!
First Line
From February First Line will once again be offering early risers the chance to hit the slopes before they open to the public. After meeting at 7:30 in Obergurgl, skiers ride up onto the mountain on the Festkoglbahn cable car, take a few moments to enjoy the total peace and quiet high up in the mountains, then carve first tracks into the freshly groomed piste connecting the Festkoglbahn cable car and the Hohe Mut Bahn cable car.
Accompanied by ski instructors
Ski instructors from the Obergurgl Ski School will lead the small groups from top to bottom, giving tips on the right technique and sharing their local knowledge of the Ötztal Alps.
First business, then pleasure
After laying down fresh tracks in the virgin snow, skiers take the Hohe Mut Bahn cable car to the Hohe Mut Alm hut with its cosy restaurant. Here, with spectacular 360° views of the Alps, it is time for breakfast.
Healthy and hearty breakfast
Located at 2,670 metres above sea level, the Hohe Mut Alm restaurant is famous for its incredible panorama and its delicious food. Dried bacon, smoked salmon, Parma ham, jams, fruit salads and mueslis are just some of the options on offer for the hungry early-morning skiers. The perfect way to start the day! After breakfast, everyone skis down together from the Hohe Mut Alm back into the valley. From there it is up to you how you spend the rest of the day – maybe a few more thrilling ski runs or a gentle walk along the hiking paths of Obergurgl and Hochgurgl?
Exclusive
With a maximum of 50 participants (minimum 5 people), First Line is an exclusive experience in Obergurgl and the ideal way to get in some fast turns on empty slopes before the lifts open to the public. And even then, thanks to the state-of-the-art cable cars and infrastructure, there are very rarely any lift queues and waiting times in the resort even during the daytime.
Perfect equipment
Temperatures can be pretty cold early in the morning. In order to stay warm and enjoy your time on the slopes, pop into a branch of Scheiber Sport. Our friendly and experienced team will be happy to help you find hot gear for a day of cool action on the slopes.
