And in just 10 minutes you get the very best from your skis again

Precision

through modern technology

State-of-the-art SAPHIR robots from the ski and board service experts at MONTANA mean that Scheiber Sport´s service technicians are able to carry out structure and surface grinding on both ski and board bases in record time, while ceramic edge sharpening with precision to a thousandth of a millimetre guarantees grip on even the iciest surfaces. Finally, hot wax and polish are applied to give the perfect finish.

During skiing, a microscopic layer of water forms on the base of your skis. The temperature of the snow determines how thin or thick this water layer is. Different base structures help transport this water away, resulting in better gliding performance. We have a selection of machines to make sure you get the very best from your skis.

All edges are sharpened from the bottom and at a pre-determined angle. Even small changes in this angle can have significant effects on the ability of the skis to turn quickly. Talk to one of our experienced members of staff and let us help you find the perfect edge angle for your skis.

FAQ Ski Service

Depending on the volume of customers, it can take up to half an hour, but usually it's much faster. With the Express Ski Service your skis are ready after just a few minutes. If possible, the ski service can be done overnight.

In the case of deep scratches, the coating can be melted and sanded or a piece of the coating can be replaced. Our staff will be happy to advise you on the options available.

The Small Service means the edges and base are sanded and then the base is waxed. For the Large Service the base is also melted in order to remove deeper scratches in the base.

Yes. You can hands in your skis to be serviced at every branch of Scheiber Sport. However, our service machines are only located in two branches (Hohe Mut Bahn bottom station & Hochgurglbahn 1 bottom station). There we also offer the Express Ski Service. In the other branches the ski must first be delivered to the service machine. This is why it will take a little longer (around 1 hour).

A regular ski service increases the performance of the ski enormously. As soon as the edges are no longer sharp or the base is scratched or too slow, it’s time for a service. However, not only performance but also safety is an issue. A well-sharpened ski is easier to control on the slopes and safer to ski on.
